Net2 v7 is coming

Paxton has announced that a new version of Net2 will be released in 2026: Net2 v7. This version works technically differently from previous releases. The current IntoAccess products are fully compatible with Net2 v6.9, but not yet with v7.

Important: please postpone your Net2 upgrade to v7 for the time being
To ensure your access control system continues to operate reliably, we advise postponing your Net2 upgrade until our new software versions become available. IntoAccess is currently developing updated software for all our products, which will be fully compatible with Net2 v7.
What does this mean for you?
- Your current IntoAccess software will continue to work as usual on Net2 v6.9.
- You do not need to take any action as long as you remain on Net2 v6.9.
- Only if you later decide to move to Net2 v7 will an upgrade of the IntoAccess software be required.<
- New IntoAccess software compatible with Net2 v7 is under development and is expected to be available in early 2026.
- Once available, you will receive detailed information and instructions from us, including an optional license upgrade.
What is IntoAccess doing?
- These new versions will be fully compatible with Net2 v7.
- Once available, you will be able to opt for an upgrade via the IntoAccess Portal.
- Existing licences will remain valid and fully functional on Net2 v6.9.
- A new licensing model will apply for the Net2 v7 compatible versions of IntoAccess software.
- We are currently developing new versions of all our products, including Net2ADSyncServer and Parking R2.
Why postpone your upgrade?
Net2 v7 uses a new integration technology. This means that all third-party software modules, including those from IntoAccess, must be adjusted to ensure continued compatibility. By postponing your Net2 upgrade, you avoid the risk that parts of your system stop functioning correctly.
What is the IntoAccess Portal?
The IntoAccess Portal is our new online environment where you will be able to manage all your software licenses. Through the portal, you can purchase, renew, upgrade, and download licenses securely under your personal login. It will be made available to both end users and installers.
The portal is expected to go partially live before the end of this year, allowing users to pre-register. Once registration becomes available, you will receive a separate email from us. Full functionality for license management and upgrades will become active once the new IntoAccess software compatible with Net2 v7 is ready.
What can you do now?
- Check that your system is currently running on Net2 v6.9.
- Postpone upgrading to Net2 v7 until you receive further information from IntoAccess.
